Lakewood Ranch keeps growing — new neighbors, new chapters, calendars that fill up fast. Dance Treat is where a lot of that energy comes to slow down for an hour. We’re a boutique ballroom and Latin studio a short drive south on I-75, and honestly we’re less “dance school” and more a warm, judgment-free place to reconnect — with a partner, with new people, or with yourself.
You don’t need experience, and you don’t need a partner. Whether you just moved to the Ranch and want to actually meet people, you and your partner are after a real date night (not another dinner reservation), or there’s a wedding first dance on the calendar — your first lesson is on us.
Why Lakewood Ranch comes to Dance Treat
- Champion instruction without the ego. Lead instructor Dmytro Roshchupkin is a USA Dance Vice Champion and European Vice Champion, and our team includes World Dance O’Rama champions — but the room stays patient and down-to-earth. We teach a lot of people who walked in nervous.
- No contracts. Your first lesson is free; after that it’s simple lesson packages when you’re ready — never a lock-in.
- Solo or as a couple, every level. From “I have two left feet” to competitive training.
- A calm, supportive floor. This is a place to feel good, not to be judged.
What you can learn
The full range of ballroom and Latin: Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, and classic ballroom — American Smooth and American Rhythm — plus wedding first-dance choreography. Not sure where to start? That’s exactly what your free first lesson is for.
Wherever you are right now
- New to Lakewood Ranch? Our monthly social parties are one of the easiest, lowest-pressure ways to meet people in the area — come once and you’ll see.
- A couple? Dancing together is the date night people actually keep. It’s an hour that’s just yours.
- Getting married? We build a first dance around you and your song, and rehearse it until it feels easy on the floor — most couples are ready in about 8–16 lessons.
- Always wanted to compete? Train Pro-Am with coaches who’ve stood on the podium.
